The Off Course Golf Club was originally founded in 1996 in Oregon by a group of like minded individuals who were looking to setup a club that allow friendly competition between smaller closer knit group of people who enjoyed participating in Monthly events that we could organize, develop and enjoy a competitive game. The events we setup included around 20-24 openings on alternating Saturdays or Sundays and strived to offer an opportunity for all of our members, if they had a good day on the course, to enjoy a free round of golf and perhaps enough winnings to spend as they wish. We created a Washington Chapter when we were able to organize a group of folks who worked mainly at Lewis with the same mission: provide an opportunity to play an event monthly in an organized competition that allowed people to enjoy playing golf with their friends and colleagues. We now have enough interest at Lewis to restart the club. The Club disbanded when our directors retired and moved on to other endeavors in 2008.
Going forward, with the interest already generated in 2023, we renewed our status with WSGA in 2024. We will have Monthly events throughout the Puget Sound Region, alternate events between Saturdays and Sundays on courses that we enjoy playing throughout the Puget Sound. We will be setting up our schedule for the 2024 Season. Your membership fees cover our expenses setting up and running these events with an end of the year lunch following a Golf Tournament. We will provide a Net Game and also offer a Specials such as Closest to the Pin, Low Putts, Hole outs or Net Skins as some examples at every event. You will also get a WSGA membership and GHIN Handicap through our club. Our Fees for the ’24 Season are $80, of which $39 go to the WSGA and GHIN for the administration of your Handicap. We will adhere to the USGA Rules of Golf for our events.
